The Aerotropolis is home to two airports: the world class Detroit Metro Airport that provides over international non-stop daily flights, and Willow Run Airport, an international cargo airport.
With DTW offering several daily non-stopflights locations in China and Japan, as well as additional connections to routes throughout Asia, Southeast Michigan is proudly home to dozens of Asian-owned companies, especially in our manufacturing and IT industries. Additionally, the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce’s nationwide headquarters in located in Livonia, MI, just minutes from the Aerotropolis.

From a recent Crain’s Detroit Business analysis of Asian-Owned businesses:
- The 25 largest Asian American-owned businesses in Southeast Michigan had a combined $1.6 billion in 2012 revenue, a 16.8 percent increase from 2011. IPS Technology Services, Troy, No. 25 on our list, had the highest increase in revenue with 239.1 percent.
- The average percent change in revenue was +36.9 percent.
- The top ten companies are primarily in the manufacturing, IT and staffing industries.
- 24 out of 25 companies on the list had an increase in revenue.
